Terms and conditions by NANIKO in Uzbekistan

The terms and conditions listed below form an essential part of the Rental Agreement concluded between the vehicle owner and the renter. By signing the agreement, the customer confirms acceptance of all rules and obligations described in this document.

AUTHORIZED VEHICLE DRIVER

The rented vehicle may only be driven by the customer whose name appears in the Rental Agreement. An additional driver may be added upon request if they satisfy all DRIVER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS stated below. Additional driver registration may involve an extra charge. The second driver must provide a valid passport and driving license.

By accepting the agreement, the renter agrees not to hand over the vehicle to:

  • Any person who has not been approved and registered by NANIKO representatives.
  • Any individual who does not satisfy the legal driving requirements of Uzbekistan, including age restrictions and license validity.
  • Any person under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medication affecting reaction ability, or other intoxicating substances.
  • Any individual displaying reckless, dangerous, or irresponsible behavior.

DRIVER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To rent a vehicle, the customer must comply with the following conditions:

  • Minimum driver age: 21 years
  • Minimum driving experience: 1 year

A valid passport and driving license written in Latin characters must be presented during vehicle pick-up. If the driving license is issued in another alphabet, a notarized translation may be requested.

NANIKO SERVICE LOCATIONS IN UZBEKISTAN

NANIKO provides vehicle rental services in several cities across Uzbekistan. Cars may be collected and returned at any available branch office.

Available service points include:

  • Tashkent city office and Tashkent International Airport
  • Samarkand city office and Samarkand International Airport
  • Bukhara city office and Bukhara International Airport

Customers selecting airport delivery must provide flight information in advance.

NOTE: Airport vehicle delivery and return service is charged separately in the amount of 315,000 UZS.

One-Way Rentals

Vehicles may be rented in one city and returned to another NANIKO location within Uzbekistan. The one-way option must be approved and mentioned in the Rental Agreement. Any changes regarding the return destination should be communicated to the company beforehand.

VEHICLE PICK-UP AND RETURN CONDITIONS

  • The vehicle is handed over in proper technical condition, cleaned, and with a full fuel tank. By signing the pick-up form, the renter confirms acceptance of the vehicle condition.
  • The customer must return the car at the agreed date, time, and location stated in the Rental Agreement.
  • The vehicle must be returned with all supplied accessories, documents, keys, and equipment in the same condition as received.
  • After inspection, both parties sign the vehicle return document confirming the technical and visual condition of the car.
  • If the car is returned outside office hours, the renter remains fully responsible until the vehicle is officially handed over to a NANIKO representative.
  • Late returns exceeding one hour may result in an additional half-day rental charge. Delays over two hours may be charged as a full rental day.
  • Additional cleaning charges may apply if the vehicle is returned excessively dirty.
  • If the fuel tank is not completely filled upon return, the renter must compensate fuel costs according to company rates.

RULES OF VEHICLE USE

The rented automobile must be operated according to road safety regulations and technical operating requirements. The customer is responsible for protecting the vehicle, its accessories, and registration documents throughout the rental period.

The following types of vehicle use are prohibited:

  • Violating traffic laws or road safety regulations
  • Participation in illegal or criminal activities
  • Subleasing or transferring the vehicle to third parties
  • Driver training or educational driving lessons
  • Street racing, speed competitions, or dangerous driving
  • Transportation of animals without prior company approval
    NOTE: Animal transportation may be permitted only with advance authorization from NANIKO. The use of protective carriers is strongly recommended. Any interior damage caused by animals must be compensated by the renter.

PAYMENT TERMS

Acceptance of the Rental Agreement authorizes NANIKO to charge the renter using the selected payment method for:
1) Vehicle rental charges
2) Security deposit
3) Fuel-related expenses if applicable

All payments must be completed before the start of the rental period, even if the customer expects reimbursement from another party.

The blocked security deposit is released after completion of the rental and signing of the return documents. Processing time depends on the customer’s bank and may take up to 14 business days.

Accepted payment methods

  • Credit and debit cards (VISA / MASTERCARD / AMERICAN EXPRESS)
  • Bank transfer
  • Cash payment

Cash payments are accepted only in Uzbekistani Som (UZS) according to the official exchange rate of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

INSURANCE COVERAGE

All NANIKO vehicles are insured under a CASCO insurance policy with renter liability limits.

Insurance coverage includes:

  • CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) — coverage for vehicle damage caused by accidents.
  • TPL (Third Party Liability) — coverage for damage caused to third-party property or health.
  • TP (Theft Protection) — protection against vehicle theft within the franchise conditions established by the company.

Insurance costs are already included in the rental price.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

NANIKO is not responsible for personal belongings left inside the vehicle after the rental period ends. Customers are advised to carefully inspect the car before returning it.

ACCIDENTS, DAMAGE, AND SECURITY PROCEDURES

  • The renter must immediately report any accident, theft, vandalism, or technical damage involving the rented vehicle.
  • In case of a traffic accident, the renter must not leave the scene or move the vehicle before contacting the traffic police, NANIKO representatives, and the insurance provider.
  • If required documents or police reports are missing, the renter may become fully financially responsible for all damages.
  • All keys, remote controls, and vehicle registration documents must remain in the renter’s possession and be returned to the company.
  • The renter is required to cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities and insurance representatives during investigations related to accidents or theft.

Failure to cooperate with the insurance company or police authorities may result in full liability for damages and related expenses.

  • If hidden damage or missing parts are discovered after vehicle return due to weather conditions, darkness, or limited inspection possibilities, NANIKO reserves the right to request compensation from the renter after additional examination.

TRAFFIC FINES AND PARKING PENALTIES

  • The renter accepts full responsibility for all traffic violations and parking fines received during the rental period.
  • Customers must inform NANIKO representatives about any penalties before vehicle return.
  • If the company pays any traffic or parking fines on behalf of the renter, all related expenses must be reimbursed by the customer.
  • The renter may request copies of official fine notices and payment confirmations.

PRIVACY POLICY

By signing the Rental Agreement, the customer agrees that NANIKO may process and store personal information for operational, legal, and security purposes.

If the renter violates the agreement or applicable laws, the company may transfer personal data to authorized third parties or public authorities where legally required.

VALIDITY OF THE TERMS

  • NANIKO reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions without prior notice.
  • Any disputes arising between the renter and the company should first be resolved through negotiation. If no agreement is reached, disputes shall be settled according to the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
